What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.

Last updated 10 September 2026

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to take a booking and run a hotel. We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not store your card details.

What we collect

  • To take a booking: your name, phone number, email address, dates of stay and number of guests.
  • At check-in: a government-approved photo identity document, as required by Indian law for every guest. For foreign nationals this includes passport and visa details for Form C.
  • For payment: the transaction reference returned by our payment provider. Card numbers and UPI credentials are handled by the provider and never reach us.
  • Automatically: basic technical information such as approximate location and browser type. Where we store any record of your IP address, it is stored as a one-way hash rather than the address itself.

Why we collect it

  • To confirm, hold and honour your booking.
  • To contact you about your stay, including by WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • To meet legal obligations, including guest registration and Form C filing for foreign nationals.
  • To issue a GST invoice where one is requested.
  • To keep the property secure, including CCTV coverage of common areas.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

Only where it is necessary to run the booking, and never for advertising:

  • Our payment provider, to process your payment.
  • Our property management system, which stores your reservation.
  • Government authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.

How long we keep it

Booking and invoice records are retained for [as long as required under Indian tax and hospitality law, currently understood to be 8 years]. Identity documents are retained for [the period required by local police registration rules]. CCTV footage is retained for [30] days unless required for an investigation.

How we protect it

  • Access to guest records is restricted to staff who need it, under individual accounts, and access is logged.
  • Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
  • Identity documents are held in restricted storage separate from general records.
  • We do not store card numbers, CVV codes or UPI credentials at any point.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
  • Ask us to erase data we no longer need to keep.
  • Withdraw consent for anything you previously agreed to.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.

Write to [email protected] and we will respond within [30] days.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. It stores one small item in your browser to remember whether you have already chosen between the hotel and the cafe, so we do not ask twice. That value never leaves your device.

[If and when analytics are added, this section must be updated to name the provider and what it measures.]

Children

This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 other than as part of a booking made by an accompanying adult.
